What's Happening
This page is an informative insight to what is going on in the world of SoutheyMTC in the months to come.
Southey's Christmas Cracker II
Due to the addiction of some people to last years sleigh bells, it has been decided to hold another Christmas Cracker. We are hoping that we will once again be joined by a brass band to accompany us for a few numbers .
More information will be posted nearer the time.
Social Events
The year is
1930; India remains the jewel in the crown of the Empire, but for how much
longer?
There will be a party on the 16th
of August, but there is someone missing,
First Lieutenant
Charles Chance. Beware; all who attend are suspects to his murder! -Welcome
to 'The Spice of Death'!!!!!
The good news is, there is food available (Indian
cuisine), and the price is only £5.
Please inform the social team of your
interest as soon as possible so you can be allocated a character description
and costume suggestion. (If you wish to attend but not take part in the
murder mystery, you are quite welcome, however, the price of £5 will remain
the same.)
You can also sponsor a page for a bargain price. You don’t have to do this alone, you can team up
with your friends and split the cost. If you want to sponsor a page once again please contact Mark Holmes.
On Sunday 3rd
of August Southey MTC will be walking 10 miles around the Foxhouse area to
raise funds.
Not only will this be
a fun way to raise funds for the society, but we will also be donating 50%
of all sponsors to Bluebell Wood, a local children’s charity.
If you are interested in taking part, please see one of the social team for
a sponsor form. Alternatively, if you don’t like the idea of all that
walking, you can show your support by sponsoring
us!!!!
If anyone
can acquire any thing that would be appealing to other people, we will be
extremely grateful.
More details of this are to follow in the next newsletter!!!!
