Recent Events

Over the past few years Southey MTC have been involved in the following events:-

Polish Night

with the cost of putting on a show ever increasing, it is vital that we organise events to raise money for the society. In June 2008, during the rehearsal run of Some Like It Hot, we thought that since the leading role in the show (Sugar Kane) is originally from Poland, it would be fun to try a taste of her homeland. A 5-course polish meal was on the menu!!! This raised over £80 and a good evening was had by all.

Murder Mystery's

It has become an annual event for Southey MTC to host a murder mystery to raise money - *Click here to see photo's*

Art In The Garden at the Botanical Gardens, Sheffield

'Art in the Gardens' is an annual Competition and Exhibition event, organised by The Scottie Gallery in association with Sheffield City Council. This annual event is one of the best opportunities to see, purchase or display original art of a very high standard in the North.

The fun, interesting and enjoyable days for all the family included: Art Exhibition Marquee with over 2000 pieces of art, Children's Art Activity Marquee, Sheffield Art and Craft Market, Children's Entertainers & Magic Show, Floral Art and Photography Marquee, Live Music and Performing Artists (including Southey MTC), and Good Food and Refreshments.

September 2nd and 3rd 2006:  3:30 on both days Southey MTC performed a selection of songs from the forthcoming production of  "Sweet Charity"

September 3rd and 4th 2005: 2:30 on both days Southey MTC  performed a selection of songs from the forthcoming production of 'Scrooge - The Musical'
